For most Indian shops, WhatsApp is already the busiest sales counter. The trouble starts when it works: dozens of “price?”, “size available?” and “send more photos” messages, orders noted in chats, and payments to match by hand. A shop link keeps WhatsApp as the place you talk to customers, and moves the ordering somewhere that handles it for you.
Why a shop link beats sending photos one by one
- Customers serve themselves: they see every photo, size, colour and price, and order when they're ready, even at 11 pm.
- No missed orders: every order lands in one list with the address and phone number, not buried in a chat.
- Payments are matched for you: UPI and card payments are attached to the order; COD orders are marked as COD.
- Stock stays right: sold-out sizes can't be ordered.
Step 1: Set up your WhatsApp Business profile
Use the free WhatsApp Business app. Add your shop name, logo, address, opening hours and, most importantly, your shop link in the website field. Set a greeting message that includes the link, for example: “Hi! See everything we have and order here: yourshop.beecart.in”.
Step 2: Share product links, not just photos
Every product in your shop has its own link. When someone asks about a product, reply with its link. They see all photos and sizes, and the “Add to cart” button is right there.
Step 3: Use status every day
Post one or two products a day on your WhatsApp status with the product link in the caption. Status is seen by people who've saved your number, which means your warmest customers. New arrivals, restocks and festival offers work best.
Step 4: Use broadcast lists carefully
Broadcast lists reach only people who have saved your number, so ask customers to save it. Send at most one or two broadcasts a week, with one clear offer and one link. Too many messages and people stop reading, or block you.
Step 5: Make paying easy
Offer cash on delivery for new customers and UPI for everyone. Prepaid orders are delivered more reliably, so some shops give a small discount or free delivery for UPI payments.
Step 6: Reply fast, then let the shop do the work
Answer questions quickly and finish with the link: “Yes, M is available in maroon, you can order it here: (link)”. The customer places the order, you get it in your order desk, and you confirm the dispatch date.
Bonus: Instagram and Facebook
Put your shop link in your Instagram bio and on your Facebook page. In posts and reels, tell people to tap the link in your bio. For stories, use the link sticker with a product link.
